New Dayton Party Rental Items for 2014!

Every year for Party Rental companies in Dayton and Cincinnati, there is a slightly less busy period over the Winter season.  A&S Play Zone makes sure to take advantage of this time by looking into what new fun party rental items we can bring our customers in the new year!  We already have a number of ideas for items that people will love to have at their Dayton Events, and some new items that people don't even know about yet!  Let me give you a quick sneak peak of some of the items A&S will be telling you about in the coming month.

First, we are of course a company that provides inflatable rentals in the Cincinnati area, so we are looking into some awesome new bounce houses!  This year, A&S received a number of calls regarding themed bounce houses, specifically pirates and Disney characters.  In the next few days, A&S Play Zone will be adding some of the new bounce houses we have to our site, so people can start choosing them for their Dayton bounce house rentals.

The Benefits of Having an Office Dog

Nothing hurts an office like a negative aura hanging over the employees.  A positive work environment is a great factor in helping an office be productive both now, and in the future.  Some of the best companies focus on keeping their employees happy and motivated.  Especially in environments where sales drive the companies success, attitude is a major factor.  As evidence from the internet's devoted obsession to dogs and cats, an office puppy can play a big role in motivating employees.  Obviously there are a number of environments where this would not work, but in a smaller company, it is perfect!

As an example, here at A&S Play Zone, we have one of the most lovable and happy dogs anyone has ever seen.  His name is Tobi and he loves everyone in the office, and everyone loves him!  If people are ever feeling overwhelmed or stressed about work, they simply spend a minute with Tobi and immediately their day is better.  Tobi roams around the office and occasionally will stop by and keep a person company at their desk.  He brings a smile to people's faces, and when people are smiling, they are more productive and more successful in solving problems.

It's been around for a while, but it is becoming one of the most popular sites and applications for crafts, clothing, and especially weddings.  Do you know what I'm referring to?  It's Pinterest, the ultra popular application that allows people to create their own boards and "pin" items and ideas that they find interesting to it for later.  One of the biggest uses that people have found for this site is to find Wedding ideas.  From dresses, to decorations, to unique room setups, Pinterest seems to have it all.  Along with having these great ideas, Pinterest is great for allowing you and your friends to find ideas that you all like and share them with each other.

After Prom - Much Closer than it Seems!

The Heat is On!

Finally after weeks of bleak forecasts showing the same cold weather hanging around have finally been lifted!  We had two days to enjoy weather like this in March before the snow flew back in, but this time it's here to stay, which can only mean one thing;  It's time to get ready for summer fun!  With the sun at its highest, the region just touched on 80 degrees for just a little while.  So everyone get the shorts and tshirts ready, the flip flops and the swim trunks because we have to make the best of every warm day before it gets cold again.  It may seem far away now, but remember, time flies when you're having fun!

Linens, Pipe and Drape, and More

Following the conclusion of last year, A&S Play Zone saw an opportunity to expand the items that we provide to our customers, and begin offering linens and other similar options for our customer's parties and events.  Currently, we are receiving all the orders and updating our inventory and website.  So if you are browsing across our site and don't see something you want, don't be afraid to call and ask us!  Not only linens though, but combinations such as pipe and drape backdrops, red carpets, and other party items are being added.  A disco ball?  Yep, we even have a disco ball now!  It has multiple lights for reflection and everything.  A chocolate fountain!  Yes, we have chocolate fountains too, perfect for wedding and receptions of any kind.  Cake stands, table decorations, balloons, we can take care of everything to make your event a success!

The Summer is Near

As the majority of schools approach their Spring Break in 2013, returning students are just starting to appreciate that there's only half a session left previous to the long break, and for some, graduation. I am sure Miami University will probably be holding events to honor the school year wrapping up, and I’m positive your academic institution or high school will end up doing it too! Warehouse In the Snow

If you have called A&S on this chilly Friday, you've probably heard that individuals are making the big move in the next two nights, and that features caused our technology to meet up with some issues. The phones are making the switch right now inside afternoon, and the computers are taking the trip along the highway in a couple hours. We do want to apologize if you call , nor get through or if we have now an issue helping you! We are trying to move our enormous inventory for the new warehouse inside as quick a period of time as possible. The primary to go will be the inflatable bounce houses and inflatable 35mm slides and water 35mm slides across Ohio's I-75, and then we will on to the party rental items like chairs, tables, tents, in addition to games. We are fortunate enough with an entire room committed to carnival games in addition to prizes, a wash room with the linens we today rent, and a storage and cleaning facility for the concession machines, like the popcorn and organic cotton candy machines. This is along with our showroom for large scale activities and corporate events. Once the completely new building is prepared up we'll offer you an online excursion! We are thus excited and hope you happen to be too!

If you are following A&S Play Zone here on our blog, you probably have liked us on Facebook, or at least know we're there.  Most people probably don't know that we're on Google Plus too, and to be honest, we've been dormant for a while.  This combined with the fact that our Google Places account was separate has made some of our social interactions confusing to follow.  Our Places account and Plus account are not linked, so sometimes people don't realize we have both, and sometimes we even get confused.  To help with this issue, we are working with Google to consolidate both of those pages into one that serves as both.  In the time we have while we wait, here is a link to our Google Plus account.  As a benefit to our Plus followers, we may have some different offers than Facebook as we head into the next few months!

Buying or Renting a Bounce House? Why Renting a Bounce House is the Best Option

One question I have heard multiple times is whether someone should rent a bounce house for their party or just buy one.  And from the outside, that seems like a very tempting option to look at.  When we dig deeper though, the value of renting bounce houses, especially through A&S Play Zone, shows through.

First, there is a big difference between a bounce house you might find on Amazon and the bounce houses that A&S rent to Cincinnati and Dayton area parties and festivals.  The biggest difference is quality and durability.  The material that these smaller and cheaper play houses use is not as durable as the quality that A&S orders through our providers.  This is alright for children who are very young though, since they likely won't use it as much as older children or as hard, and they weigh a lot less!  So for very small children, these cheap online bounce houses can accommodate them for a few years.  Once kids get older though, they will not be able to use these small bouncers without damaging them.  This is where A&S helps out many church festivals, carnivals, and festivals.  Our inflatables can withstand a lot!

Next, bounce houses and jumpers are just the basic inflatables, with the least intricate design.  Once we move on to inflatable slides, water slides, obstacles courses, and other fun party items, the initial price goes up and up!  So when you rent something from A&S, the price you receive is truly a fraction of the actual price of the item.  Since we reuse the items for different Cincinnati and Dayton events, we can offer these great values to people all throughout the year!  I'm sure that you may wonder how we keep the inflatables and moonwalks serviced and clean, and we take care of that too!  I will go into more detail in upcoming posts, but here is a quick breakdown.  First, we bring an inflatable party item back to our site after it has been used.  We inflate it and inspect the entire item for any damages, such as a tear in the material or the protective netting.  If there is an issue, we call in an expert who will determine how to best repair it.  Next, our cleaning team begins using our suite of cleaning high quality products to make sure the inflatable item looks as good as new!

The last important part about renting is safety.  A&S Play Zone has prided itself on having safe equipment and providing the best experience for our customers.  This is one of the reasons why we must set up the inflatables we rent, so we can properly anchor it to keep the bouncer on the ground, to set up the fan (that we provide!) properly, so it will not deflate while people are inside, and to ensure that people know the capacity limits of each item.

So overall, the value that A&S Play Zone provides by renting their inflatables bounce houses, water slides, obstacle courses, and other Dayton and Cincinnati party rental items is great, and the service is even better!

People Love Bounce Houses

Today as I was perusing the vast internet, I noticed an interesting little website.  It was www.whatdoestheinternetthink.net.  On this site, you type in any word you want to.  The first the I tried, of course, was pizza.  The results were hugely in favor of pizza, and that is as it should be.  I next tried a simple search for "cars" and was surprised that people's feeling were overall negative!  Other negative items included taxes, Facebook, and interestingly enough, soccer.  So I had to look up my favorite topic!  I first typed in bounce houses, before realizing the site wasn't ready for plurals yet, and then searched "bounce house" to get this result.

So according to this, the internet is absolutely positive about the idea of a bounce house, and with only 0.2% dissent?  I feel like the overwhelming majority like bounce houses!  So have some fun with this little tool and maybe you'll learn some interesting opinions like I did.

Inflatable Slide at Mission Day

Holy Angels grade school in Dayton Ohio always hosts a mission day on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday.  The school is located in the center of Dayton, bordering the University of Dayton college campus.  As a way to celebrate Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras the kids are given the opportunity to participate in a number activities, that in the end benefit a charity of the school's choosing.  In the cafeteria, sweets and pizza are provided, along with numerous other treats and drinks.  In the gymnasium, there are many carnival style games, face painting, and in the middle of this all, was an inflatable slide.  They brought in A&S Play Zone's 18 foot inflatable slide, which is one of our festival favorites, with churches, schools, and plenty of other summer events.  Kid's spent all day enjoying the items, especially the slide.   A great plus about our 18 foot inflatable slide is that it fits inside most gymnasiums, big and small.  Here is a pictures of everyone having a fun time, with the blowup slide in the background.

The New Party Rental Items are in!

The new party items and inflatable items A&S added over the winter are up on our website!  Follow the blue link here to find our website - Inflatable Bounce Houses, Party Rental Items for Cincinnati, Dayton Ohio.  Across the top of our freshly designed site are multiple colored buttons that lead to different sections of our site.  Under the "Products" drop down menu, there is a listing of "NEW Attractions".  This can also be found by scrolling down to the picture category buttons below that.  The new items listings include everything that is new, it isn't separated by carnival games, tables and chairs, inflatable bounce houses, or party rental items.  It includes them all!  If you scroll through the items for rent, you will see why we are so excited!  Throughout the next few weeks, we will provide you detailed information about each item, and soon the website will have great descriptions and videos to help display how great the carnival games, party rental items, and inflatables are!  If you are as excited for summer as we are, please take a second to follow us on the social media of your choice, from our blogs, to Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, and YouTube!

We're a Fun Company Inside and Out!

What helps make A&S Play Zone such a great company is that we don't just supply fun to people, parties and schools, we have fun ourselves!  If you think about it, you'll likely realize that when you work at a place that has inflatable bounce houses and games all around, how can there not be an attitude of enjoyment?  Here are a few examples of what its like to be a part of the A&S team.  You won't walk through the front door without getting a greeting from somebody in the front office, unless you're the first one there, then it's up to you!  Throughout the day, somebody might be going through the inventory and decide to set up one of our inflatables or games, and everyone will spend some in the back with the items having fun.  Perhaps during the hot summer months, somebody wanted something to drink other than water or pop.  Well, we decided to set up the slushie machine to help keep the heat away.  Occasionally, we'll need to test the cotton candy machine or funnel cake maker, and that always means we all get a little dessert to supplement our lunches.  During some of the water testing periods, we used our paintless paintball blocks to build a water gun game that spanned beyond our parking lot.  This did carry over into the office a few times, with certain employees stashing water guns throughout the complex, and attacking other employees when they came near.  

These are just a few examples of the great times that people involved with A&S have had over one summer. A&S certainly has great opportunities for people who are hard working and friendly individuals.  So when we discuss our items, we always have a knowledge of how much fun they can be, because we love fun!  It's our business!

New Items Coming Soon!

A&S Play Zone has been working hard to find items that will bring the fun to everyone's parties this year!  We are always looking to add new exciting inflatables, bounce houses, and other fun rental items!  After a busy winter of searching, some new items are already going up on the website, ready for fun.  Over the next few days, be sure to look at our website for updates about everything we're bringing in for 2013, like our inflatable bounce houses.  Let us know what you think, and if you want more information, give us a call!!

March Madness is Coming Soon!

After Michigan State dominated Michigan last night in one of coach Tom Izzo's better games in the rivalry, most people should have realized something.  Michigan State appears to be hitting their peak again, which means the best tournament in college sports can't be far away!  Whether you're an Ohio native cheering for a team up north, or the Flyers, Buckeyes, Bearcats, Musketeers, or Bobcats, or someone from Indiana rooting for the Hoosiers, Notre Dame, or Purdue, college sports fans are preparing for another great tournament.  Before you start mentally preparing your dream bracket, you should probably take a look at what implications there are over this next month.  You don't want to watch the game alone do you?  You could take it in a local sports bar, or, if they don't appreciate your loud criticisms of the referees and players, you could simply host it at your house.  The best March Madness party throwers know that keeping that great atmosphere is key, and A&S Play Zone actually has some great items to give your party that arena feel.  We have four great products that can help you prepare the food for kicking back and watching the game.  Previously we discussed our variety of concession machines, but the ones that work best for indoor, colder weather events are the popcorn, hot dog, nacho, and pretzel machine.  To make things even more appealing, you don't have to pay ten dollars per nacho box, and with all the people you'll have over, you'll start saving money in the first game.  Perhaps the best benefit though, is that you will never have to make the dangerous decision to run up to the concessions stand and miss a potential tournament making play.  You get to sit back and enjoy every moment.  So start thinking about that March Madness party now and how much better having your own concession machines can make your party great!

Focus on Graduation Parties: Tables and Chairs

It still is somewhat early in the semester to think about how it's going to end, but for many grade school, high school, and college kids and parents, the end of the semester will bring a lot of joy, fun, and stress.  The challenge of finishing up those last few exams is nothing compared to throwing the perfect graduation party for your child.  There is the challenge of who to invite, how to decorate, and trying to guess how many people will actually be there.  The last thing anyone throwing their Ohio graduation party needs to worry about is making sure they all have a place to sit and eat!  That is why A&S Play Zone has tables, tents, and chairs available for parties!  The chairs are white resin and are simply priced at one dollar per chair.  Tables and tents have a variety of prices based on the size and shape.  The tables are made of a similar material to the chairs and are also white.  We are currently updating our tent inventory to include more sizes and colors, so call when you get the chance to find out what we have available!  Everything is clean and ready to be taken to a party, so you don't have to be concerned about the cleanliness of our items.  If you do want something to cover those tables, A&S Play Zone is beginning to offer linens and other party options, so stay tuned and we promise to keep you update!

** A secret hint for planning graduation parties is to get started well in advance!  For some people, this time right now may even be considered late!  So make sure to take some time to consider what you want for your party and look into reservations today.

Warm Weather is Getting Closer!

The frigid temperatures of Ohio's winter are slowly beginning to subside   As this happens, kids and adults, young and old are all scrambling for the chance to be outside in the sun again.  In just a few short weeks, the heat will be substantial enough to start thinking about hosting your Dayton and Cincinnati parties!  A&S Play Zone has already stocked up our inventory with plenty of options to help you and your friends have exciting fun parties!  As much fun as our inflatable water slides are, the weather won't yet be quite warm enough for those, but there are many other great options.  For home use, our bounce house selection has expanded to include more great moonwalks.  With water slides out, we still have standard inflatable slides in many different sizes that could fit your event.  As we head into the season of prom and especially school field days, our larger items, such as the inflatable obstacle courses, are being sought after even more, so consider calling now!  If the heat gets to be too much too soon, A&S also has a variety of misting fans and dunk tanks that can help bring any picnic or outing to a suitable temperature.

Super Bowl Party

What a game!  Whether you are a Ravens supporter or a 49's fan, this super bowl was one for the ages!  From the commercials, to the halftime show, to the lights in the Superdome shutting off, there was a little something for everybody.  Speaking of something for everybody, that's what most people try to accomplish when they host a super bowl party.  Food of all sorts for the people watching the game, beverages galore, and many times, something to help occupy those not as interested in football, such as kids.  As we head into the football off season, into summer, and eventually back around into the NFL prime time again, remember that A&S can help make your party one that people will look forward to year after year!  There are many options we have available.  Once the weather warms up a bit, kids will want to play outside and there aren't many better options to keep them busy during a big game and also pique their interest in football than with a sport themed bounce house.  The most popular of those items are the Bengal Bounce Moonwalk and the Buckeye Bounce Jumper.  Not only are these great as a backyard item for a party, but once schools begin training for their football season, nothing beats having one of these at your event to help set the spirits for another fun season!  If you want something extra special, take a look at our End Zone Scramble Inflatable Obstacle Course!  A fun option for the young athlete at your event!  If you are just looking back at having a great Super Bowl Party though, thinking of your team and where they might be next year, feel free to give us a call!  We have plenty of smaller items and accessories you may need for your party, after all, we are all about fun!

New Site Design!

Its finally here!  The new website for A&S Play Zone!  It's taken a lot of work, but it's online and looks great!  Some of the improvements include an updated logo, which now features a more polished look and the website information in our cloud.  We have developed a national rental number - 855-PlayZONE to go along with our two local numbers, 513-315-9110 for Cincinnati, or 937-885-5454 for Dayton.  You all probably noticed how hard we've worked on our social media involvement, and now our homepage banner includes a button for A&S Play Zone on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Wordpress, Blogger, and YouTube!  So you can simply go to our website to access our fun social media, or just search us on Google, Yahoo, or Bing.  We'll be there!

The next exciting update is a simpler interface for our different locations on the website, such as special deals, events, and our company mission.  We retained many of the ideas from our old website though so it won't be too overwhelming of a change.

By far, the best new update is the category item search.  Instead of using our old drop down categories or sliding product bar (Which is still located lower on the screen), there are clickable buttons with a picture of an item that represents the category.  Not only does this interface make it simpler to find specific products or help your child find what they want, it works well on mobile devices.  So if you want to find our bounce houses or inflatable slides in Dayton or Cincinnati, you just click one button and scroll through all of our bouncy options.
