Hueston Woods 5th of July Recap

Another fourth of July has come and gone, and a great time was had by all at the Hueston Woods firework display.  The hot weather drove many people to the beach, and the location to watch the fireworks from was idyllic.  However, staying cool was a major concern.  Even the water in Lake Acton was warm, and didn’t do much to cool the weary patrons.  What was cool however, was that A & S Play Zone provided five of their premier inflatables at a discounted price.  Voting was held on the A&S Facebook page for the favorite ride of the day.  The water slide, of course, took first place, and was by far the most popular attraction.  It was the Roaring River 22′ dual lane slide, and the best part about it was that it had cold water running down it’s tracks, making it popular among kids and adults!

Other popular rides included the Adventure Obstacle course, which allowed kids to race down it’s multiple lanes, and the 20 x 20 Extreme Bounce House.  Trained attendants were posted around each inflatable to assist kids in enjoying the rides properly.

5th of July Celebration at Hueston Woods

A & S Play Zone is bringing some inflatables down to Hueston Woods for their Independence Day Celebration!  The festivities will include music, games, and of course fireworks!

The benefit part is to assist the American Heroes Alliance and the Yellow Ribbon Support Center.  The event sponsors are asking for donations of cash, or non-perishable food such as Beef Jerky, Slim Jims, Pop Tarts, Breakfast-Granola-Power Bars, Sun Flower Seeds, Nuts, Gum, Easy Mack & Cheese, Drink Mixes (single type), Raman Noodles, Cup-a-Soup, Razors, Foot Power, Chap Stick, Toe and Nail Clippers, Socks, Baby Wipes.

We have slides, water slides, bounce houses, and a dunk tank.  These items are going to be set up near the beach, by the concession stand, so people can find refreshment in more ways than one!  Tickets will be sold at $1 per ticket, and $15 dollars for an all day wrist band.  A portion of these tickets will go to support the American Heroes Alliance and the Yellow Ribbon Support Center.
